Aesthetic Treatment Terms, Conditions & Patient Acknowledgement
Nature of Aesthetic Treatments
Aesthetic treatments are elective, non-surgical procedures intended to enhance appearance. Individual responses to treatment vary, and outcomes are influenced by factors including anatomy, skin condition, lifestyle, and healing response. While treatments are carried out with appropriate professional care and technique, aesthetic procedures inherently involve variability in results.
Discomfort, Swelling & Downtime
Clients should be aware that temporary discomfort, swelling, redness, bruising, tenderness, lumpiness, or asymmetry are common following aesthetic treatments, particularly injectable procedures such as dermal fillers. These effects are considered part of the normal healing process and may last from several days to several weeks, depending on the treatment area and individual response. Certain areas, including the under-eye region, may experience prolonged swelling. Clients are advised to plan their schedules accordingly and avoid important social, professional, or travel commitments immediately following treatment.
Individual Healing & Lifestyle Factors
Healing time and aesthetic outcomes may vary between individuals. Factors such as stress levels, sleep, alcohol consumption, exercise, hormonal changes, and general health may influence recovery and final results. Clients acknowledge that early post-treatment appearance does not represent the final outcome.
No Guaranteed Outcomes
Aesthetic treatments do not carry guaranteed results. While professional judgment is used to achieve optimal outcomes, aesthetic satisfaction is subjective. Dissatisfaction with aesthetic outcome alone does not indicate a complication or clinical error.
Follow-Up, Review & Remedial Care
Where appropriate, follow-up reviews may be recommended. Any assessment of treatment outcome should occur after an appropriate settling period. Corrective treatment, including dissolution where clinically indicated, is a medical decision made following professional assessment. Clients are encouraged to return to the original practitioner for review before seeking third-party intervention. Independent third-party treatment undertaken without prior review may limit the ability to provide remedial care or reimbursement.
Acknowledgement
By proceeding with treatment, clients confirm that they have read, understood, and accepted the above information, and acknowledge the nature, limitations, and variability of aesthetic procedures.
