-What Is Dermall Filler-
Hyaluronic acid, also known as sodium hyaluronate, is a naturally occurring polysaccharide found between the cells and collagen fibers in our skin. It plays a crucial role in retaining moisture, improving skin elasticity, and promoting skin repair.
Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are widely used in aesthetic treatments to reduce wrinkles and restore facial volume — such as enhancing the chin, nose, temples, cheeks, nasal base, tear troughs, and lips — leaving skin hydrated, smooth, and youthful.
-How Do Hyaluronic Acid Fillers Work?-
Purified hyaluronic acid is injected into the dermis, where it integrates with your body’s own hyaluronic acid. This hydrates and plumps the skin, smoothing wrinkles and contouring the face to create a fuller, softer, and more defined appearance with high safety and minimal risk.
-Why Choose Hyaluronic Acid Fillers?-
Many people seek fillers due to natural facial features — like a less prominent nose, short or receding chin, or flat face — common in Asian populations. Aging also causes collagen loss, leading to sagging, fine lines, and volume loss around the eyes and cheeks.
A well-defined chin and jawline are key to creating a balanced, elegant facial profile. Similarly, a higher nose bridge adds structure and focus, enhancing overall facial harmony.
-Who Are Suitable Candidates?-
-
Those with hollow or sunken cheeks, forehead, temples, or nasolabial folds
-
People with deep static wrinkles visible even when the face is relaxed
-
Anyone unhappy with the shape or contour of their nose, chin, brows, lips, or ears
-The Procedure-
-
Consultation to assess facial bone structure and decide injection areas and doses
-
Clean the treatment area
-
Apply topical anaesthetic
-
Disinfect the skin
-
Inject filler precisely to the targeted areas
-
Follow post-treatment care instructions; minimal downtime expected
A trained practitioner customizes the filler placement and volume based on your unique facial structure for a balanced and natural result. Effects can last anywhere from 6 to 12 months, depending on the product used and individual metabolism.
-Will It Look Stiff or Unnatural?-
As long as it's done by a certified and experienced injector, no, HA fillers won’t make your face look stiff. Our team includes doctors certified by leading international filler brands, with extensive experience working with Asian facial features. Dosage is carefully controlled for a natural outcome.
Since HA is eventually broken down by the body, results are not permanent, and touch-ups may be needed. There are generally no side effects if proper protocols are followed.
-Aftercare Tips-
-

-
Don’t touch or apply water to the injection site for 6 hours.

Avoid aspirin and other blood-thinning medications post-treatment.
-HA Fillers vs. Fat Grafting-
First, the treatment time differs.
Hyaluronic acid, often called “God’s clay,” is especially convenient and quick for enhancing facial features. The injection typically takes about 30 minutes, and the results are immediate — you see the effect as soon as it’s done.
In contrast, autologous fat transfer involves harvesting excess fat from areas like the waist, abdomen, or thighs. This fat then undergoes centrifugation, purification, and refinement to select intact fat cells. These are then injected into the targeted areas. The entire procedure usually takes around two hours or more.
Second, the duration of results varies.
The longevity of hyaluronic acid fillers depends on the molecular weight of the product chosen and the patient’s own absorption rate, typically lasting between 6 to 12 months. To maintain the effect, touch-up treatments are needed.
For fat transfer, the duration depends on the survival rate of the transplanted fat cells. For example, if 100 units of fat are transferred, only about 60% may survive, requiring potential repeat procedures. However, the fat that does survive tends to last much longer.
Third, recovery time is different.
Hyaluronic acid injections require only about 30 minutes and usually involve no downtime — just follow post-treatment care instructions.
On the other hand, fat transfer causes swelling in the treated areas that can last for at least 20 days, especially for facial procedures, so the recovery period is longer than with hyaluronic acid.
Fourth, the risk and complexity of the procedures differ.
Before hyaluronic acid injection, it is important to confirm the patient is healthy and has no contraindications. The treatment only requires applying a topical anaesthetic before the injection, making it quick, convenient, and minimally invasive. If the results are unsatisfactory, the filler can be dissolved using a specific enzyme.
Fat transfer, however, demands higher standards for both the physician and the clinical environment. The procedure is more complex, involving multiple steps such as fat harvesting, purification, and injection, each with strict protocols. Compared to hyaluronic acid injections, fat transfer carries greater risks and requires more expertise.
